Cottle Atelier Smock Shirt-Bingofushiori in Vintage Midare-Kasuri
A smock shirt designed for artists to wear as work wear when painting or sculpting. It is made with a traditional cotton fabric called Bingo Fushiori, which will look good even when torn or stained with paint. Unlike other Kasuri (splashed pattern fabric), Bingo Fushiori is characteristic of having lumpy nep with a warm and simple texture like a hand-woven fabric. The pattern is called “Taki”(waterfall) Kasuri and features abundant indigo yarns. This comes with white mother-of-pearl buttons with gold added using the Kintsugi technique, which is used for repairing pottery. With age, the shirt will fit more comfortably, with the texture of natural dye improved, to become an attire made just for you.
